I am extremely excited to now offer a range of jewellery that I have designed myself!
The designs are all from original drawings I have done, and have been laser cut from black and white acrylic.
The inspiration came from a multitude of ideas I was constantly getting every day for jewellery designs. It was getting to the point where I would only close my eyes and these ideas would suddenly appear. the subconscious mind and imagination really is amazing if you know how to put it to work! I wasn’t able to sketch all the ideas down so most of them were lost. From all my ideas only a handful made the cull- as although I had a lot of weird and wacky ideas, they had to pass the wearability test and stand up to normal, every day wear- and also be cost-effective to produce. I had also never done anything like this so I wanted to tentatively test the waters first to see how the technology would output my designs.
I was really inspired to create a range of jewellery that really stood apart from current offerings of many laser cut jewellery. I wanted to create striking pieces of wearable art all in my distinct artistic style.
I was extremely impressed and excited by the outcome! Here is the first range of my jewellery…
Inspired by the bats that fly across from the river at dusk every night, silhouetted against the darkening sky. If you are quiet enough you can hear the eerie swooshing of their wings…
One of the most fearsome and intriguing of mythical creatures, the dragon has got a bad rap of late from nasty tattoos and tacky artwork found in spiritual stores.
I got my first taste of the might and wonder on the dragon from Smaug- from J R. R. Tolkien’s “The Hobbit.” I’ve been entranced ever since.
Ruby red and yellow teardrop crystals, and ruby red and opaque red crystal rondelles hang from its claws and tail. A large and eye-catching piece- and probably my favourite.
A spider sits on its web, waiting for prey- but don’t worry, he isn’t real! He will be happy to make your neck look pretty however.
Spider Web Earrings
Whimsical necklaces of the highest order. Five different rabbits leaping, bounding or hopping.
Black Magic Feather
Only two available!
Ethereal White Feathers
One of a kind!
Keep an eye out as I am currently designing a new range- exploring myth, magic, the natural world and dreaming. I will be introducing wood as a new medium too!
